Paige Spiranac knows how to market.
The former professional golfer quipped that there are two reasons she’s the most followed golfer on Instagram, with 3.1 million followers – 400K more than second-place Tiger Woods. And no, they’re not what you’d think:
Spiranac, now 28, won a professional tournament on the Cactus Tour in 2016, in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Orange Tree Country Club. However, after an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for the LPGA, she retired from professional golf later that year.
There may or may not be a third reason why people follow her, in addition to her golf knowledge and personality.
