Sophie Turner is trying to make this controversial trend happen

Sophie Turner isn’t afraid of a fashion faux pas.

The “Game of Thrones” actress’s off-duty style has always been on the casual side, but lately, she’s been pairing all her outfits with a polarizing choice of footwear: sandals worn with socks.

On Monday, 23-year-old Turner was spotted with husband, Joe Jonas, in New York City wearing Alo Yoga compression shorts ($68), a Harley Davidson T-shirt and ankle socks with Adidas slides ($45).

The next day, before the Jonas Brothers played a special Pandora Live concert at Webster Hall, the trio and Turner grabbed lunch at Gemma; she wore a pair of jean shorts with a Brandy Melville crop top ($26), checkered ankle socks and APL slides ($100).

Despite her love for dressing down, Turner cleans up nicely when she wants to. At the James Bond-themed 30th birthday party she threw for her husband on Friday night, the actress smoldered in a sexy black dress by Alexandre Vauthier and gold heels.
