Gigi Hadid on the catwalk for Tommy Hilfiger

Supermodel Gigi Hadid, has just signed on for another two seasons as the global womenswear brand ambassador for American clothing giant, Tommy Hilfiger.

So expect to see an influx of bomber jackets, sequinned tops, cropped sweaters and tiny denim shorts make their way into your wardrobe.

PVH Corporation, which owns the Hilfiger label, announced that Gigi will continue to spruik the brand’s apparel, footwear, watches and accessories for another year.

The 22-year-old will also continue to co-design the Tommy x Gigi capsule collection with Hilfiger himself.

“Gigi is a force in the fashion industry and the ultimate Tommy Girl. Her positive, down-to-earth energy and cool, effortless style continues to captivate her audiences around the world,” Tommy Hilfiger said in an official statement.

Model-of-the moment Gigi’s star power and social media presence has played a large role in the brand’s recent renaissance, with younger shoppers particularly being drawn to the Tommy x Gigi collection.

The labels’ casual cool designs have sold out in moments, and count A-list celebrities like Lady Gaga and The Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks as fans.

Earlier this year, Tommy Hilfiger’s spring 17 show included a star-studded line-up that saw Gigi’s sisterBella Hadid and Victoria’s Secret angel Joan Smalls, wearing Tommy x Gigi designs on the runway.

It’s not the first time the iconic American brand has collaborated with major A-list trend setters.

Singer Beyoncé, supermodel Iman and late music icon David Bowie, have all designed collections for the label in the past.
