Oscars 2017 red carpet: Chrissy Teigen, Emma Roberts and Ruth Negga lead the arrivals at Hollywood’s biggest night

The stars are out in force for the annual extravaganza

Hollywood’s biggest night has finally arrived.

The who’s who of the acting world have dusted off their shiniest suits and most gorgeous gowns for the 89th Academy Awards which will honour the best English language films of the past year.

With the carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles being the longest in the world, it’s the perfect opportunity for the stars to showcase their outfits in all their glory.

Leading the arrivals, Chrissy Teigen looked a picture of perfection in her angelic thigh split white gown.

E! host Giuliana Rancic, 42, opted for a periwinkle blue gown from Georges Chakra’s 2017 Spring/Summer collection, which featured small cut-out panels across the midriff and a long, flowing train.

The star finished off the look with Christian Louboutin heels and a Judith Leiber clutch bag.

The 35-year-old actress honoured the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) with a small blue ribbon pinned to her dress.
