We all know the Marathon is actually a time to gawp at people running 26 miles in a crazy costume.

As the competitors started people were already tweeting and snapping their favourite costumes including people dressed up as loo roll.

Some of the best outfits include wedding dresses and religious figures – including Jesus on the Cross.
