You might not know who Katherine Langford is yet, but I’d be willing to bet that is going to change very quickly. The 20-year-old actress from Perth, Australia is poised to blow the hell up, as she landed a starring role in the TV show 13 Reasons Why. The 13-episode series is based on the beloved 2007 book of the same name, which reached #1 on the New York Times best-seller list.

13 Reasons Why will be released on Netflix on March 31, 2017, and given that it’s directed by Spotlight’s Tom McCarthy, it sounds like it’s going to be a surefire hit. McCarthy and Selena Gomez are also credited as producers on the show, and I trust that sexpot’s judgement wholeheartedly.

Katherine’s only on-screen appearance prior to 13 Reasons Why was the starring role of Scarlett in the short film Daughter. Katherine may be short on experience, but it seems like she’ll be able to make up for it with boatloads of talent.
