Emily Ratajkowski shocks fans by dyeing her brown hair platinum blond

Emily Ratajkowski is practically unrecognizable.

Following in the footsteps of fellow model Kaia Gerber, the brunette bombshell, 29, switched up her look in a major way by dyeing her hair platinum blond.

“I did it!!” Ratajkowski captioned a video of her new look, thanking luxury hair care line Kérastase.

Kérastase also announced the model as the face of their January 2021 Blond Absolu line, which includes anti-brass purple shampoo ($35), conditioner ($30) and more upkeep products for blondes.

“I’ve never colored my hair or changed the length significantly in my entire life!,” Ratajkowski said in a statement. “I just celebrated my birthday and am so happy to be coming out of quarantine with a fresh new look. Beauty is meant to be fun and expressive and this is definitely, hands down, the most fun I’ve ever had with my look before.”

It seems that Emrata’s famous friends are enjoying her new look. Bella Thorne commented with fire emojis, while Victoria’s Secret model Elsa Hosk asked fore “more pics.” However, tons of fans were less than pleased, asking Ratajkowski to reconsider the bold move.

“Plz go back to brunette,” one person said. “You’re better with brown hair,” another wrote. One diplomatic fan said, “Dark suits you more but it’s always nice to have a little change!”
