Tim Tebow engaged to former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters

Tim Tebow took Miss Universe off the market.

On Thursday, the Mets prospect and Heisman Trophy winner announced his engagement to beauty queen Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.

“@demileighnp Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world. You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” Tebow, 31, posted on Instagram, along with a photo of the rustic proposal.

Nel-Peters, 23, also shared an emotional post about her future groom, writing, “Any dreams I’ve ever had, you’ve exceeded them all! I love you and I can’t wait to spend forever with you! @timtebow .”

“She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life,” he told ESPN over the summer. “I am usually very private with these things but I am very thankful.”
