Considering it was the last weekend of summer, I got quite drunk Friday night, and as a result, had a hell of a hangover on Saturday. I’m 24 now, and while I’m certainly not only, I’m also not the spry young blood I was when I was 21, so one night of drinking puts me out of commission for the weekend. Point is that I wasn’t leaving my bed and needed something to watch.
After scrolling through Netflix for 20 or so minutes, I ultimately deiced on The Good Place, an NBC comedy from Parks & Recreation creator Michael Schur. Long story short, it was decent, but it introduced me, and probably you, to Jameela Jamil.
On The Good Place, Jamil plays Tahani Al-Jamil, a deceased, wealthy philanthropist who also just so happens to be stunningly beautiful.
As for Jamil’s real life, she appeared on various Channel 4 programs and is a former host of The Official Chart and was co-host of The Official Chart Update, alongside Scott Mills on BBC Radio before landing a role on the NBC sitcom.
The Good Place returns to NBC on Wednesday, September 20.
