As Coronation Street ‘s Bethany Platt actress Lucy Fallon has been at the centre of some pretty harrowing scenes of late.

Viewers have seen the schoolgirl fall victim to grooming and be sexually abused – before being almost sold for slavery at the hands of evil Nathan Curtis , in emotional scenes to be aired shortly.

For the actress at the heart of the gripping but dark storyline, Lucy been pictured enjoying some much needed down time.

The star let her hair down – quite literally – to undergo a glamorous makeover.

Looking a million miles away from her troubled Corrie character, Lucy’s blonde tresses were give a boost with a new colour and bouncy blow dry.

Smiley Lucy looked the epitome of dressed-down cool as she teamed a chic grey slogan t-shirt with stylish gingham trousers.

The star wore her shirt rolled up to reveal a glimpse of her super flat stomach.

21-year-old Lucy has received high praise from viewers for her portrayal of vulnerable Bethany Platt in Corrie’s dark sex abuse storyline that has captivated viewers for months.

In scenes set to air, Bethany is soon to realise her evil fiancé Nathan’s sick plans to sell her as a sex slave abroad.

The teenager was under the impression the two were eloping but as they’re driving, Nathan’s real motives become clear.

When he loses it in the car, he lets slip that she will be going abroad alone.

And slowly, Bethany begins to doubt him as the true horror of her situation dawns on her.

However, Bethany has a guardian angel watching out for her in the shape of Corrie oddball Mary Taylor.

In an upcoming episode Mary desperately tries to stop Sarah Platt’s troubled daughter from fleeing Weatherfield with Nathan.
