The Mirror Online’s new Big Brother columnist didn’t pull any punches during her first post for us
If there’s anyone that knows about how to survive a stint in the Big Brother house, it’s Stephanie Davis .
So, it was no surprise that the CBB alumnus had some opinions on the the TV show and its contestants, as she debunked the allure and hardships of being a couple in the house.
Having met her partner Jeremy McConnell when they were thrust into the house together in 2016, the 24-year-old actress shed some light on what it means to be in a relationship in the famous house.
In her debut column , the former Hollyoaks star revealed that while she and Jeremy had been on a rollercoaster she wouldn’t change it “for the world”, however, she was also quick to call out those faking love for the cameras – namely Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor .
Following in the footsteps of Steph and Jez, the two reality stars headed into the Celebrity Big Brother house in January 2017, and they quickly hit it off.
A house romance soon followed, with plenty of PDA and headline-grabbing rows, and it seemed as though love had struck twice in the same amount of years in the CCTV house.
However, at the end of February the whole romance derailed only weeks after the two had left the house, with it being revealed that Lewis cheated on Marnie multiple times.
And it would seem that Steph knew the romance wouldn’t last. Addressing the subject as she gave a rundown of this year’s BB housemates, she claims the pair were faking their romance – doing their best to copy her own relationship.
Touching on the topic of a showmance in the Big Brother house, Steph wrote: “If you’re doing it for the wrong reason it won’t last.
“Loads of people have tried to copy us since, just look at Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor ! They were trying to copy me and Jez so badly that you could just see through it – and look what that happened. “

Adding her own thoughts on what it’s like finding love on CBB /BB, adding: “Now, I wouldn’t change what Jeremy and I have, or how we met. It’s made us who we are, and I love that.
“What I will warn all these girls and boys is that it’s so much harder on the outside. You need to keep your feet on the floor, or things could go awry – your friends and family can’t be traded for anything.”
