Lucy Hale, 27, is an American singer and actress best known for her role as Aria Montgomery on the Freeform TV series Pretty Little Liars.

Lucy Hale was born in Memphis, Tennessee and was homeschooled as a child. Obviously, though, she never could fulfill the “weird homeschooled kid” stigma when she looked like that. It’s impossible.

She also appeared in NBC’s short-lived Bionic Woman series and made her big screen debut in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

So Lucy Hale slowly but surely was building a career as a working actress in her early years, but had yet to really break out. That would come in December 2009 when Pretty Little Liars came a calling. From that point, it was smooth sailing. Hale even leveraged her TV success into more music opportunities, releasing the album Road Between in June 2014.
