Enhancing Your Beauty Look With Colored Contacts

This time around I’m sharing a few tips on how to coordinate AIR OPTIX® COLORS shades with your makeup. I picked up some really good pointers on set with my fellow AIR OPTIX® ambassador and celebrity makeup artist Allan Avendano.

The lenses come in nine colors and range from subtle to vibrant. The “Pure Hazel” was the first one I tried, I loved the way it complemented my hair color and skin tone. Allan played off these hues by giving me a subtle brown and purple shadow look. The combination brought out the hazel shade and really intensified the depth and dimension of the lenses.

For my second look, I tried the subtle Blue lenses. Allan used shades of pink and copper shadows to really make my eyes pop.  A good rule to remember when creating a makeup look around color lenses is that opposites attract. Mix warm and cool shades for a beauty look that’s dynamic but never over powering. Hazel lenses look great with cool shadows like blues and purples, while blue lenses pop against warm shadows like gold or copper. Try to avoid matching looks like emerald shadows with the Gemstone Green lenses.

The lenses are so comfortable that I had no problem wearing them during our photoshoot and even out to dinner afterwards. Have any of you tried the AIR OPTIX^® COLORS contact lenses?
