Carlos Correa, the 23-year-old shortstop for the Houston Astros, proposed to his girlfriend on national television after the Astros beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series. Needless to say, it was #relationshipgoals for both guys and girls alike across the country.
Correa, from Puerto Rico, is a shortstop for the Houston Astros who was drafted first overall in the 2012 MLB draft and made his MLB debut in 2015, winning the American League Rookie of the Year Award.
Correa and Rodriguez, a former Miss Texas, live together in Houston with a puppy named Groot.
In the 2017 postseason, Correa had five homers and 14 RBI, with eight hits and two home runs coming in the World Series. Correa is the youngest shortstop to hit a home run in playoff competition, as well as the second youngest player to record a postseason multi-homer game.
