It is reported that No Doubt may also join Gwen at her residency, as a source reveals that the residency will serve as ‘somewhat a reunion tour for the band.’
“Her visit to Las Vegas this weekend was one of the final pieces of the puzzle,” an insider tells E! News. “Things are looking very good.” The insider goes on noting that the songstress decides to hold a Las Vegas residency so that she can spend more time with her family.
“This is about spending more time with her kids,” the source continues. “She doesn’t want to go back out on a big tour again and be away from her kids for six months at a time.”
The insider adds that there’s “flexibility that comes with doing a residency. She’ll be able to come in and out of Las Vegas for a couple weeks at a time throughout the year and she’ll never be too far from home.”
And it appears that she won’t be alone on the stage. It is also said that No Doubt may join the songstress. “It’s possible the residency could be billed as ‘Gwen Stefani with No Doubt’, serving as somewhat a reunion tour for the band,” so the source explains. “Details are still being worked out with the rest of the band, but either way Gwen will definitely be singing No Doubt songs.”
Rumors of her Las Vegas residency first sparked earlier this week, after a report claimed that she had agreed to do it. A source told Us Weekly that the “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker went to Jennifer Lopez’s residency last week “to check out the venue she’ll be playing. She was dancing the whole night!”
