Mozhdah Jamalzadah is a very popular singer in Afghanistan. However, she lived most of her life in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. When she only five-years-old, Jamalzadah and her family had to escape a brutal civil war in her home country. But when she got older, she wrote songs that inspired the people of Afghanistan, making her an instant hit in her former home. Jamalzadah is college educated. She studied broadcast journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She also studied political science and philosophy at the University of British Columbia. Jamalzadah is now a model, a singer and a talk show host in her former land of Afghanistan. This 31-year-old inspiration wrote songs that told stories about Afghan heroines, in effect, becoming widely popular to many women listening-in on the radios of Afghanistan.
