Kate Middleton\u00a0had surgery, and what’s followed have been rumors, controversies and conspiracy theories. The latest: an investigation into whether Middleton’s\u00a0personal medical records were illegally accessed\u00a0by a hospital staff member.<\/p>\n

Much has been made about the Princess of Wales\u2019s absence from public life in the United Kingdom as she recovers from a January abdominal surgery, according to Kensington Palace. Almost immediately there was speculation as to what she was really being treated for and a report, blasted by palace insiders, that there had been surgical complications.<\/p>\n

The chatter was made much worse by Middleton. A\u00a0botched editing job on a family photo\u00a0shared to social media \u2014 in hopes of calming conspiracy theories \u2014 only fueled them. A frenzy developed over Middleton\u2019s health, whereabouts and photo editing, which has been called Katespiracy. Folks on both sides of the pond have been asking: Where is Kate Middleton?<\/p>\n

In recent days, there was the first real glimpse \u2014 Middleton and Prince William at a farmers’ market \u2014 but even that sighting has fed into the conspiracy theories.\u00a0<\/strong>Now there’s the hospital records breach probe.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a timeline of what\u2019s been happening, from the princess’s last public appearance in December 2023 through this new sighting and the drama over her photos:<\/p>\n

Dec. 25, 2023:<\/strong>\u00a0It\u2019s seemingly a typical holiday as Middleton and Prince William attend a Christmas service with their three children as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla at St. Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham, the royal family\u2019s country home in Norfolk, England. Middleton, in a bright blue coat, is all smiles, greeting well-wishers along the way.<\/p>\n
