Musical artist and actress Selena Gomez celebrated her 30th birthday last month, and she had a bigger event to mark the occasion in Italy this week with a group of friends\u2014and potentially one lover. On Wednesday, August 4,\u00a0The Daily Mail<\/em>\u00a0shared photos of Gomez on a yacht in Positano with her buddies, amongst them Italian-Canadian film producer Andrea Iervolino.<\/p>\n

Gomez and Iervolino have been\u00a0linked together\u00a0in the past, with hints that they are more than friends, but it has never been confirmed that they are dating. In fact, a source recently said that Gomez is single.<\/p>\n

\u201cSelena isn’t dating anyone specific at this time,\u201d the source\u00a0said. \u201cShe is more open to love, but she is also very much focused on herself and her work right now. She’s in a very healthy place. She is feeling fantastic and very mentally, physically and emotionally healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

However, she and Iervolino did spend a lot of time during her birthday party dancing together and hugging while looking out at the water. Iervolino even gave Gomez a couple of kisses on her forehead, which could just be a platonic sign of affection.<\/p>\n

Who is Andrea Iervolino?<\/h3>\n

Iervolino is a very successful producer, who has won a number of accolades; in 2015, he received the Mimmo Rotella Special Award for production at the Venice Film Festival for his work on\u00a0The Humbling<\/em>. In 2016, he was given the Saving Award at the Italian Contemporary Film Festival. He is an official ambassador of Italian Cinema and the president of Ischia Global Film and Music Fest, and in 2018, President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella awarded him a Knighthood of the Italian Republic. He also has a pretty sizeable social media following at just over a million followers on Instagram<\/p>\n

Iervolino has founded a number of media companies, including Irvolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment S.p.A, a global production company, with Lady Monika Bacardi, the investment company AMBI Group, and TaTaTu Enterprises, a blockchain-based social media and entertainment platform.<\/p>\n

How do Selena Gomez and Andrea Iervolino know each other?<\/h3>\n

Iervolino produced the 2016 film\u00a0The Dubious Battle<\/em>, which starred Gomez. They seem to have been friends since, and he was at Gomez’s 27th birthday celebration when she also visited Italy. They were seen together in July of last year, celebrating the 4th in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
