Sydney Sweeney is opening up about her supposed status as a sex symbol through her role on HBO\u2019s Euphoria.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old actress has been on the big and small screen since she was 12, but her portrayal of Cassie Howard on the hit series has earned her an Emmy nomination, along with another for her work in HBO\u2019s The White Lotus.<\/p>\n

The blonde bombshell spoke with The Hollywood Reporter\u00a0in a wide-ranging interview where she revealed she has no plans to stop doing nude scenes.<\/p>\n

While Euphoria has earned critical acclaim, with her co-star Zendaya becoming the youngest to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy, it has also become controversial with reports of long working hours and overly sexualized material.<\/p>\n

Sweeney brushed those reports aside, stating, \u2018I fully trust in the filmmakers that I work with, and I\u2019m always so excited for whatever (Euphoria creator) Sam (Levinson) writes.\u2019<\/p>\n

She added that she loses herself so fully in the material that she forgets what it\u2019s like behind-the-scenes adding, \u2018It\u2019s as if it\u2019s someone else\u2019s life.\u2019<\/p>\n\n

\u2018And I can\u2019t get past that. I have no problems with those scenes, and I won\u2019t stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we\u2019re assuming about actors in the industry,\u2019 she added.<\/p>\n

The second season of Euphoria found Cassie hooking up with Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), shortly after he split with her best friend Maddie (Alexa Demie).<\/p>\n\n

\u2018He read me that first scene where Cassie and Nate go into the bathroom. And I was like, \u201cOh my God, Sam, you\u2019re a madman,\u201d\u2018 Sweeney says of Cassie and Nate\u2019s first hookup at a rowdy New Year\u2019s Eve party.<\/p>\n

That first episode paved the way for her to continue secretly hooking up with Nate, and lead to her now-infamous bathroom breakdown that likely secured her Emmy nomination<\/p>\n

\u2018I feel really bad for Cassie; she\u2019s losing herself so much. But I thrive doing that s**t. People talk about how heavy this season is, but I love it,\u2019 Sweeney added.<\/p>\n

She also recently launched her own production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, where she set up an adaptation of the Jessica Goodman young adult novel They Wish They Were Us.<\/p>\n

The project is set up as a limited series at HBO under the new title The Players Table, set at an elite East Coast private school.<\/p>\n
