The 38-year-old\u00a0\u201cHouse of Gucci\u201d\u00a0star couldn\u2019t wait to shed his aviator glasses at the end of shooting the Lady Gaga-helmed flick.<\/p>\n

Driver,\u00a0who played Maurizio Gucci,\u00a0said the role was one of his most difficult to date \u2014 and the character was a lot to take at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not live in the same world as Maurizio Gucci,\u201d he told\u00a0W Magazine, which featured him on one of numerous covers for its \u2018Best Performances\u2019 issue. \u201cThe way he picks up things that are valuable and discards them, the way he is the most elegant man \u2014 those qualities were interesting to think about. But after 14 hours a day of being a Gucci, I was ready for it to be over.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Marine\u00a0famously despises watching himself in movies, and generally doesn\u2019t stick around after the cameras stop rolling.<\/p>\n

\u201cI leave jobs immediately,\u201d he continued. \u201cI haven\u2019t been to a wrap party since\u00a0\u2018Girls.\u2019 I just want to get the character out of my system and go home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Driver famously hates watching himself in his movies, and will routinely ditch the wrap parties for completed flicks, too.<\/figcaption>

He\u2019s also not big on sticking around for fan appearances. Driver confessed\u00a0he regretted his visit to Comic-Con\u00a0to promote \u201cStar Wars: The Force Awakens.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cUh, no,\u201d he replied when asked if he would go again. \u201cI didn\u2019t know the rules of Comic-Con.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI got in at the hotel at two in the morning \u2026 and I\u2019m like, \u2018Maybe tomorrow I\u2019ll go get a coffee.\u2019 And they\u2019re like, \u2018Oh no, you can\u2019t get a coffee.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Well, maybe I\u2019ll get a coffee in the hotel.\u2019 They\u2019re like, \u2018No, you can\u2019t get a coffee in the hotel.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

When Driver wanted to leave his room, he had to cover his face \u2014 or else risk being seen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re like, \u2018If you want to go outside, put a mask on so nobody knows who you are,\u2019\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
