Billie Eilish says porn \u201cdestroyed my brain\u201d after she began watching graphic online movies while she was still in elementary school.<\/p>\n

The singing sensation \u2014 who is now 19 \u2014 made the shocking confession during \u201cThe Howard Stern Show\u201d on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a woman, I think porn is a disgrace,\u201d Eilish\u00a0declared in the interview. \u201cI used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest. I started watching porn when I was like 11.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cOcean Eyes\u201d crooner continued: \u201cI think it really destroyed my brain and I feel incredibly devastated that I was exposed to so much porn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eilish also admitted that she began watching more and more graphic types of pornography, which warped her ideas about sex and relationships.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt got to a point where I couldn\u2019t watch anything else unless it was violent, I didn\u2019t think it was attractive,\u201d she confessed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was a virgin. I had never done anything. And so, it led to problems \u2026 The first few times I had sex, I was not saying no to things that were not good. It was because I thought that\u2019s what I was supposed to be attracted to.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer told Stern that she began watching \u201cabusive\u201d BDSM porn, which she says causes her to now suffer from night terrors and sleep paralysis.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m so angry that porn is so loved,\u201d Eilish blasted. \u201cAnd I\u2019m so angry at myself for thinking that it was OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eilish also slammed the porn industry for creating unrealistic expectations of women\u2019s bodies.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way that vaginas look in porn is f\u2013king crazy,\u201d she commented. \u201cNo vaginas look like that. Women\u2019s bodies don\u2019t look like that. We don\u2019t come like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brad Salzman, founder of the\u00a0New York Sexual Addiction Center<\/a>, said it\u2019s not unusual for children to first begin watching online porn at the age of 11.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s actually the norm,\u201d said Salzman, who has treated young men suffering from sex and porn addiction. Many of them are in their early 20s \u2014 not much older than Eilish herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cParents aren\u2019t paying attention and it [porn exposure] can affect them for the rest of their lives,\u201d Salzman said. \u201cIt totally colors their perception of what normal sexuality is supposed to look like and it changes the way they think that they\u2019re supposed to interact. They can begin seeing other people as sex objects as opposed to human beings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ziv Cohen, clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at Cornell University, agreed that the age of porn exposure is shockingly young.\u00a0He said some parents have approached him in a panic after discovering that their 7 and 8 year old children have been accessing porn.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor young children to be exposed to that gives them a very skewed and inaccurate image of sex,\u201d Cohen said. \u201cIts not positive for their perception of intimacy and the opposite sex.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have to realize that internet pornography is not a harmless pastime. It might be the most addictive drug we have today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Salzman said there are three components that make porn addictive, \u201cnone of which existed 20 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n
