And now, the young have deemed blonde locks\u00a0<em>dunzo<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, some sassy gals on TikTok declared\u00a0blonde hair \u201ccheugy\u201d\u00a0\u2014 or in millennial, Gen X or boomer parlance, terribly unhip.<\/p>\n<p>But can light locks really be \u201cover\u201d? Thanks to the pandemic forcing ladies to see their true colors after salons shuttered \u2014 and a slew of celebrities reaching for dark dye \u2014 the bombshell bright shade seems to be taking a backseat to bold brunette.<\/p>\n<div class=\"e3lan e3lan-in-post1\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cSeeing all of the transformations on TikTok is what made me actually make the decision,\u201d 24-year-old Morgan Rosztoczy told The Post of her dramatic makeover. \u201cI live in San Diego and everyone here is blonde so I am excited to stand out in the crowd.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Rosztoczy, who works in aesthestic dermatology sales, said that she\u2019s seen a change in the way men react to her with her dark hair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have noticed a few more flirty gestures,\u201d she said, adding that her boyfriend was shocked by the change and \u201chad no words for a while but loves it now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74599\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Hailey-Bieber-e1637544164895.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption>Hailey Bieber debuted a darker \u2018do earlier this fall.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI am 6 feet tall so I usually get a lot of attention anyway, but at work I think it is because they think I am someone new. I buy better quality pieces and wear the same thing more often,\u201d Zamet told The Post, adding that it \u201cfeels right\u201d to revert to her natural color. \u201cIt\u2019s more effortless, and that somehow feels chic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zamet\u2019s inspiration was model Hailey Bieber, who has traded her highlighted blonde for soft brown \u2014 and a simpler, sleeker red carpet style. I kept over-highlighting my hair so toward the end of my run, it was a solid root-to-tip blonde. It wasn\u2019t even highlighted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The transformation has been so drastic that the Long Island-based publicist said some friends and family haven\u2019t recognized her with chocolate tresses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am noticing that a lot of my friends don\u2019t like the solid blonde any more.
