Billy Porter certainly isn\u2019t feeling a\u00a0watermelon sugar high.<\/p>\n

The \u201cPose\u201d actor, 52, trashed Vogue over its decision last year to make Harry Styles, 27, the mag\u2019s\u00a0first male cover star \u2014 and to be style him in a dress.<\/p>\n

Styles made headlines after he wore a Gucci gown on the front of the December 2020 edition of the fashion bible, winning praise from high-profile pundits including\u00a0Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.<\/p>\n

But Porter says he was not a fan.<\/p>\n

The actor \u2014 who has rocked frocks on the red carpet for several years \u2014 is hitting out at Vogue for choosing a white cisgender heterosexual man for the groundbreaking cover.<\/p>\n

\u201cI changed the whole game,\u201d Porter told\u00a0the Sunday Times\u00a0this weekend. \u201cAnd that is not ego, that is just fact. I was the first one doing it and now everybody is doing it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like the fashion industry has accepted me because they have to. I\u2019m not necessarily convinced, and here is why: I created the conversation, and yet Vogue still put Harry Styles, a straight white man, in a dress on their cover for the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
