{"id":70454,"date":"2021-01-09T02:39:25","date_gmt":"2021-01-09T02:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/?p=70454"},"modified":"2021-01-09T02:39:25","modified_gmt":"2021-01-09T02:39:25","slug":"karlie-klosss-swipe-ivanka-kushner-amid-capitol-riot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/?p=70454","title":{"rendered":"Karlie Kloss&#8217;s swipe at Ivanka and Kushner amid Capitol riot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As chaotic scenes\u00a0unfold at the US Capitol\u00a0everyone from former presidents to pop stars have been weighing in on social media, almost unanimously condemning the chaotic riots but one star\u2019s comments were always going to divide both sides.<\/p>\n<p>Supermodel Karlie Kloss is one of the world\u2019s most famous faces and is also attached to the Kushner family through her marriage to Joshua Kushner, but has a largely liberal fan and friendship base.<\/p>\n<div class=\"e3lan e3lan-in-post1\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Karlie-Kloss.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"704\" height=\"989\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Joshua is the brother of Jared, a senior White House advisor and the husband of Ivanka Trump, both of whom were integral members of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of the riots, Karlie took to Twitter like so many with a strong message denouncing the violent protests that disrupted the Senate.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cAccepting the results of a legitimate democratic election is patriotic,\u201d\u00a0she wrote.\u00a0\u201cRefusing to do so and inciting violence is anti-American.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefastfashion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/ivanka.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"704\" height=\"509\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Karlie\u2019s comment flies in the face of a now-deleted tweet sent by\u00a0Ivanka Trump in which she called rioters in the US Capitol \u2018American patriots\u2019\u00a0while calling for an end to the violence.<\/p>\n<p>Plenty of Twitter users didn\u2019t shy from pointing out the model\u2019s ties to the Kushner family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTell your bother in law and sister in law,\u201d a user wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve tried,\u201d Karlie responded in an uncharacteristically frank admission.<\/p>\n<p>The comment unsurprisingly caused outrage online, with some slamming the model for joining the family, others pointing out we can\u2019t choose what our relative choose to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sorry, I just can\u2019t with you,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cYou married into that horrific family.
