Kaitlyn Bristowe and boyfriend Jason Tartick are the latest stars to test positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the former \u201cBachelorette\u201d star, 35, opened up about the couple\u2019s diagnosis\u00a0on Instagram, sharing while they had been trying to quarantine before the holidays, they let one friend over to visit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thought we were making a responsible decision to have ONE person over, who had been tested daily for work,\u201d Bristowe wrote in her caption, adding the unnamed pal tested positive the day after they hung out.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, like many, we will spend Christmas by ourselves,\u201d she added. \u201cWe just want to let everyone know that we thought we were being safe, but covid is bigger than us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tartick, 32, also\u00a0shared a video\u00a0Thursday, noting he began to feel the symptoms Wednesday, which included body aches, a fever of 103.1, and a \u201cpool of sweat when you\u2019re sleeping.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShame on us, we didn\u2019t stick to the plan,\u201d he said of the couple\u2019s decision to invite a friend over. \u201cThere\u2019s no out thinking this god awful virus, lesson learned.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bristowe reminded their followers that you can \u201cnever be too careful,\u201d and her boyfriend reiterated, \u201cLesson learned and we\u2019re going to war here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

The pair sent their well-wishes to healthcare workers and others, who may also be separated from their families over the holidays.<\/p>\n

Several people from Bachelor Nation sent words of encouragement to the couple, including Nick Viall, the runner-up from Bristowe\u2019s \u201cBachelorette\u201d season in 2015.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet well soon!\u201d Viall commented.<\/p>\n

Host Chris Harrison responded to Tartick\u2019s post, \u201cGet better brother. Love ya.\u201d<\/p>\n
