Nicky Hilton wants her shopping dollars to go further.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Nicky Hilton x French Sole\u00a0shoe designer, 37, told us that her New Year\u2019s resolution for 2021 is to give back \u2014 and that she\u2019s already getting a head start by gifting with a purpose this holiday season.<\/p>\n

For her loved ones, Hilton picked up\u00a0Bauble Stockings\u00a0($85), which are hand-stitched and finished by women in Haiti for fair trade\u00a0wages and also help support the\u00a0Atlanta Children\u2019s Shelter.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s so important to shop small and local,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike, I wanted to go buy a book the other day and the weather was not good outside and I could have easily ordered it on Amazon, but I was like, \u2018Absolutely not!\u2019 I\u2019d much rather give that sale to an independent bookstore. So I got up, braved the cold, and\u00a0went to the Strand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hilton has also been making sure to support her local restaurants \u2014\u00a0including one of her favorites,\u00a0Rubirosa\u00a0\u2014\u00a0by ordering for delivery and takeout when she can\u2019t make it in.<\/p>\n

The New Yorker shares two daughters, Lily-Grace, 4, and Teddy, 3, with her husband, James Rothschild \u2014 and while the family won\u2019t be celebrating Christmas in the Big Apple, they have plenty of fun awaiting them in California.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited to go to LA and spend time with my family,\u201d Hilton said. \u201cMy girls are so excited to see their aunts and uncles and grandparents. My mom makes a big Christmas breakfast every year and we all watch the parade on TV. That\u2019s something we\u2019ve been doing since we were babies.\u201d<\/p>\n

More importantly, she\u2019s making sure that her daughter Teddy\u2019s birthday \u2014 which falls five days before Christmas \u2014 isn\u2019t overshadowed by Santa\u2019s big day.<\/p>\n

\u201cAuntie Paris and I are taking her to the North Pole, so she\u2019s very excited,\u201d Hilton said \u2014 noting that the \u201cNorth Pole\u201d is actually a drive-through, socially distanced experience.<\/p>\n
