Sarah Fuller will likely end her college football kicking career in perfect standing.<\/p>\n

After becoming the first woman to play and score in a Power Five conference football game, Fuller was robbed of another chance to kick Saturday as Vanderbilt\u2019s season finale against Georgia was canceled because of COVID-19 protocols.<\/p>\n

Fuller, a goalie for the Vanderbilt women\u2019s soccer team,\u00a0made her debut with a kickoff against Missouri on Nov. 28\u00a0and then went 2-for-2 in extra points last Saturday against Tennessee.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt looks like my time as a football player has come to an end,\u201d\u00a0Fuller said Monday in a statement posted to her Twitter account.\u00a0\u201cI would like to thank personally the entire Vanderbilt football team, coaches and support staff for this amazing opportunity to be a part of this program.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was accepted as an athlete and a true member of this team. This is an experience that I will never forget and will cherish forever. Good luck to the seniors and staff who are moving on to new adventures. Best wishes to the team as this program moves forward and continues to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Fuller is expected to play soccer for the Commodores this spring \u2014 with the NCAA Tournament pushed back because of the pandemic \u2014 and then will transfer to North Texas to play the final two years of her college career,\u00a0according to Yahoo Sports. Fuller told the website she has no plans to play football again at North Texas, but if the Mean Green needed her \u2014 as Vanderbilt did this fall due to COVID-19 issues \u2014 she would answer the call.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve watched with admiration and great respect how Sarah has handled herself in making history at Vanderbilt,\u201d North Texas athletic director Wren Baker told Yahoo Sports. \u201cWe look forward to welcoming her to the Mean Green family and helping her extend her platform. I know she\u2019s a role model for lots of people in the country, particularly young female athletes.\u201d<\/p>\n
