Gov. Cuomo flatly denied accusations that he sexually harassed a former top adviser, calling the allegations \u201csimply not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a virtual briefing from Albany Monday, the governor said he believes \u201ca woman has the right to come forward and express her opinion,\u201d but that the allegation from ex-aide Lindsey Boylan was inaccurate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard about the tweet, and what it said about comments that I had made, and it\u2019s just not true,\u201d Cuomo said. \u201cThe tweets were simply not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boylan, a candidate for Manhattan borough president, did not immediately return a request for comment.<\/p>\n

Boylan worked for Cuomo for about four years, rising to become deputy secretary of economic development before leaving in 2018. She came forward via Twitter Sunday with claims that the governor \u201csexually harassed me for years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cMany saw it, and watched,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI could never anticipate what to expect: Would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boylan, 36, further alleged that \u201cno one would do a damn thing even when they saw it.<\/p>\n

No one,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd I *know* I am not the only woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boylan\u2019s accusation comes amid buzz that President-elect Joe Biden is considering Cuomo as his pick for attorney general.<\/p>\n
