The truth may be out there \u2014 but nowhere near as out there as this tale.<\/p>\n

Space aliens have reached an agreement with the US government to stay mum on the experiments they conduct on Earth \u2014 as well as their secret base on Mars \u2014 until mankind is ready to accept them, the former head of Israel\u2019s space program claimed in a new interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe aliens have asked not to announce that they are here [because] humanity is not ready yet,\u201d Haim Eshed told Israeli paper Yedioth Aharonoth,\u00a0according to the Jewish Press.<\/p>\n

The Jewish Press \u2014 speculating that Eshed, 87, may have gone to insanity and beyond \u2014 goes on to unspool his tangled web, which claims the involvement of President Trump and interplanetary diplomacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump was on the verge of revealing [aliens existence], but the aliens in the Galactic Federation are saying, \u2018Wait, let people calm down first,’\u201d Eshed, who helmed Israel\u2019s space security program from 1981 to 2010, reportedly said. \u201cThey don\u2019t want to start mass hysteria. They want to first make us sane and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Until that day, aliens have secured an agreement to keep their moves under wraps, said Eshed, noting that the extraterrestrials come in peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have been waiting for humanity to evolve and reach a stage where we will generally understand what space and spaceships are,\u201d said Eshed, according to the Jewish Press.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s an agreement between the US government and the aliens. They signed a contract with us to do experiments here. They, too, are researching and trying to understand the whole fabric of the universe, and they want us as helpers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

One of the hubs of the cooperation is a base on Mars \u2014 where, by the way, Eshed claims American astronauts have already set foot.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s an underground base in the depths of Mars, where their representatives are, and also our American astronauts,\u201d Eshed reportedly said.<\/p>\n

Eshed acknowledged that it all sounds like science fiction, but claimed that some of his peers are coming around.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I had come up with what I\u2019m saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalized. Wherever I\u2019ve gone with this in academia, they\u2019ve said, \u2018The man has lost his mind,’\u201d he reportedly said. \u201cToday they\u2019re already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I\u2019ve received my degrees and awards, I am respected in universities abroad, where the trend is also changing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former President Barack Obama\u00a0recently refused in an interview\u00a0with \u201cLate Show\u201d funnyman Stephen Colbert to confirm or deny the existence of extraterrestrial life based on top-secret US records \u2014 a move Colbert jokingly took as tacit confirmation.<\/p>\n
