Jax Taylor, 41, and Brittany Cartwright, 31, are exiting \u201cVanderpump Rules,\u201d Taylor announced Friday via social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last 8 years on \u2018Vanderpump Rules\u2019 have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life,\u201d\u00a0Taylor\u2019s Instagram post began.\u00a0\u201cAlthough this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of \u2018Vanderpump Rules.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors.\u00a0@bravotv,\u00a0@evolutionusa\u00a0and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts,\u201d he continued, before concluding, \u201cThank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. Cartwright\u2019s post featured almost the exact same statement, but with her time on the show adjusted; she joined the Bravo hit three years after Taylor. She and Taylor\u00a0announced that Cartwright was pregnant\u00a0and expecting a boy in September.<\/p>\n

TMZ used the word \u201ccanned\u201d\u00a0in their post on the news, adding that \u201chonchos at Bravo confirm the couple won\u2019t be returning to the show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d\u00a0has yet to resume production\u00a0as coronavirus cases continue to climb across the country. For a show based as heavily in the restaurant and bar industry, filming in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic is a dicey proposition, which\u00a0Vanderpump herself addressed recently, tweeting that \u201cmany restaurants will not reopen,\u201d though Page Six was told that she was making a general statement, rather than referring to any of her own properties.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is now no timeline for the show\u2019s return,\u201d a source told Page Six earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Pandemic aside, it\u2019s been an eventual year for the show, with\u00a0seemingly every other couple\u00a0announcing a pregnancy in recent months, to say nothing of the debacle over the summer when cast members Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute\u00a0were fired\u00a0for making a false \u00adpolice report about Faith Stowers, the show\u2019s sole black cast member (now\u00a0working on her own reality show).\u00a0Cast members Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens were also fired over racist posts from their social media pasts.<\/p>\n
