Nicole \u201cSnooki\u201d Polizzi and Deena Nicole Cortese are being sued by New York-based restaurant The Meatball Shop over their merch, per federal court documents obtained by Page Six Style on Friday.<\/p>\n
The suit \u2014 filed against the \u201cJersey Shore\u201d stars on Tuesday \u2014\u00a0alleges that the reality stars infringed upon the restaurant\u2019s trademarks on their merch, despite the fact that the reality stars have been calling themselved \u201cThe Meatballs\u201d for years.<\/p>\n
This isn\u2019t the stars\u2019 first foray into fashion; 33-year-old Cortese runs a mommy-and-me clothing line called\u00a0Christopher John, while Polizzi, also 33, owns\u00a0The Snooki Shop\u00a0in her local New Jersey.<\/p>\n
The Meatball Shop is asking a judge to order the women to stop selling their merchandise, which may include the\u00a0\u201cTeam Meatball Forever\u201d tee\u00a0both stars recently modeled on Instagram.<\/p>\n\n
