Miley Cyrus has opened up about her split from husband Liam Hemsworth\u00a0and dating during the coronavirus pandemic, in a candid new interview.<\/p>\n

Chatting with\u00a0Sirius XM\u2019s\u00a0Howard Stern, the 28-year-old shared the\u00a0real reason she and Liam split up, saying “there was too much conflict” but insisted she will “always” love him.<\/p>\n

The singer said the Californian bushfires in 2018, which burnt down the house she and Liam shared, was the reason the couple rushed to get married.<\/p>\n

“Our house burned down,” she said. “We had been like, engaged \u2013 I don\u2019t know if we really ever thought we were actually going to get married, but when we lost our house in Malibu \u2013 which if you listen to my voice pre-and-post fire, they\u2019re very different so that trauma really affected my voice.”<\/p>\n

“I had so much and it was all gone, every song I had ever written was in that house. Every photograph of me that my parents had given to me, all my scripts, I lost everything. And so in trying to put that back together, instead of going, \u2018Oh, nature kind of did something I couldn\u2019t do for myself; it forced me to let go,\u2019 I ran toward the fire.<\/p>\n

“You\u2019re attracted to that heat and me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it, and not wanting to go, you know, \u2018What could be purposeful about this?\u2019 I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him.<\/p>\n\n

“And I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will.”<\/p>\n

She added, however, the issues in the relationship became too much.<\/p>\n

“There was too much conflict,” she said. “When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone. I don\u2019t get off on drama or fighting.”<\/p>\n

The pair first met on the set of\u00a0The Last Song\u00a0in 2008 and later got engaged in 2012, but broke up the following year. They then reconciled in 2015, marrying in 2018 and then splitting by August 2019.<\/p>\n

Following Miley and Liam’s split, the singer was famously spotted kissing Brody Jenner\u2019s ex Kaitlynn Carter.<\/p>\n
