Cardi B may be known for her brazen lyrics, but the rapper insists she\u2019s actually so shy that she can\u2019t bring herself to ask male rappers to collaborate with her.<\/p>\n

Cardi revealed in a\u00a0new Billboard interview, \u201cThe thing is, I\u2019m shy and really shy to reach out to male artists, to be honest with you. That\u2019s why a lot of collabs that I want, I haven\u2019t gotten yet because I\u2019m scared to reach out. I always get a little star-struck. I\u2019ll be thinking I\u2019m corny, even though I\u2019m funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Billboard Woman of the Year also said her bashfulness gets in the way of recording romantic tunes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it comes to me writing or putting ideas of my personal life in the music I get really shy,\u201d she said. \u201cWhen I perform songs like \u2018Be Careful\u2019 or \u2018Ring\u2019 I usually close my eyes because I get really shy about showing that lovey-dovey side. Even to my engineer, I start giggling\u2026 like, \u2018Oh my God, I can\u2019t. This is so embarrassing,\u2019\u201d she said in the Billboard cover story.<\/p>\n\n

Of course, she\u2019s also known for her revealing Instagram Live clips that have detailed her on-and-off relationship with her husband Offset. The very shy Cardi\u00a0told fans\u00a0when they reconciled earlier this year, after she\u2019d filed for divorce: \u201cListen y\u2019all, I\u2019m just a crazy bitch\u2026 It\u2019s really hard not to talk to your best friend. And it\u2019s really hard to have no d\u2013k.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bronx rapper, 28, is currently working on a new album following her 2018 release \u201cInvasion of Privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
