Billie Eilish has a good comeback for bad guys who body shame.<\/p>\n

Armed with a healthy helping of body positivity and a good dose of self-confidence, the \u201cBad Guy\u201d singer is swatting away at internet gnats guilty of cruelly criticizing her newly unveiled curvy frame.<\/p>\n

Returning fire to keyboard body-shamers \u2014 who, in October, shamelessly picked apart the 18-year-old after she skipped her signature baggy streetwear in favor of a formfitting\u00a0tank top while running errands in Los Angeles\u00a0\u2014 Eilish smoothly says the nasty reactions to her voluptuousness didn\u2019t come as an offense because she\u2019s comfortable with how she looks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s this picture of me, like, running from my car to my brother\u2019s front door \u2014 on like, a 110-degree day, in a tank top,\u201d the \u201cDon\u2019t Smile at Me\u201d singer\u00a0explained to Vanity Fair\u00a0in the fourth edition of her \u201ctime capsule\u201d video interview series.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd everyone\u2019s like, \u2018Damn, Billie got fat!’\u201d she said, mocking her haters. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018Nope, this is just how I look! You\u2019ve just never seen it before!’\u201d<\/p>\n

Shrugging off the shade from her digital detractors with an apathetic, \u201cwhatever,\u201d Eilish\u00a0\u00a0\u2014 who\u00a0posted a TikTok from YouTuber Chizi Duru,\u00a0encouraging Instagram followers \u201cto start normalizing real bodies,\u201d the same week the tank top photo was published \u2014 went on to say she wants\u00a0her messaging on body image\u00a0to\u00a0help fans\u00a0feel \u201ccomfortable\u201d in their own skin.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cI love having kids relate to me and tell me that I make them feel comfortable in their bodies,\u201d she said. \u201cIf I can do anything, I wanna do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

An unabashed soldier in the war against body-shaming, a typically covered-up\u00a0Eilish stripped down to her bra\u00a0during a performance at Miami\u2019s American Airlines Arena in March, protesting the impossible beauty standards forced upon women in the music industry \u2014 and the\u00a0online body shaming that comes with it.<\/p>\n

Eilish, alongside fellow female powerhouses Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Beyonc\u00e9,\u00a0is up for several Grammys in 2021, with nods for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.<\/p>\n
