Armed with the doubly-deadly blades of her white lightsabers and crowned in the traditional Togruta Akul-tooth headdress, Rosario Dawson\u2019s highly anticipated debut as beloved \u201cClone Wars\u201d star, Ahsoka Tano, on Chapter 13 of\u00a0\u00a0Disney+\u2019s \u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d\u00a0unlocked a bevy of\u00a0fascinating revelations\u00a0for \u201cStar Wars\u201d zealots \u2014 namely, Baby Yoda\u2019s true identity.<\/p>\n

A badass former Jedi with a good heart, Ahsoka \u2014 hunted down by an unyielding Mando in his fervent quest to reunite\u00a0Baby Yoda, a\u2009k\u2009a The Child,\u00a0with his Jedi tribe \u2014 reads The Child\u2019s mind to discover he\u2019s a native of the planet Coruscant and a Clone Wars survivor named Grogu.<\/p>\n

Unveiling his sordid history, Ahsoka (Dawson, 41) reveals Grogu was raised in a Jedi temple on the main city planet, and was trained by many masters before being hidden at the end of the Clone Wars, when the Empire and Darth Vader ascended to power.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone took him from the temple,\u201d Ahsoka informs Mando, \u201cthen his memory becomes dark.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cStar Wars\u201d fanatics flew to cyberspace, saturating social-media timelines with stunned responses to Ahsoka\u2019s inaugural appearance and Baby Yoda\u2019s bedeviled background.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Chapter 13 might be my favorite episode yet,\u201d\u00a0one fan tweeted. \u201cRosario Dawson was damn near perfection as #AhsokaTano, hope she returns. The whole episode had a very Kurosawa vibe to it. Filoni is the master. The Child\/Baby Yoda finally has a name, Grogu! #TheMandalorian.\u201d<\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d also sees Ahshoka and Mando join forces to overthrow evil tyrant Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) on Corvus \u2014 which ends in the Magistrate revealing the whereabouts of \u201cStar Wars\u201d Imperial supervillain and Darth Vader ally, Grand Admiral Thrawn.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cOMG! This episode was so amazing. First of all #AhsokaTano is in the flesh and omg she looked so good she was amazing she was worth the wait,\u201d\u00a0another fan raved\u00a0on Twitter. \u201cSecond, Baby Yoda finally has a name #Grogu. And OMG I almost cried just thinking that Mando and the child would split off.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Mando\u2019s search for Grogu\u2019s kin, Ahsoka advises he take The Child to Tython, where he\u2019ll find the ruins of an ancient Jedi temple that has a strong connection to the Force. She tells Mando to place Grogu \u201con a seeing stone at the top of the mountain. Then Grogu may choose his path. If he reaches out through the Force, there\u2019s a chance a Jedi may sense his presence and come searching for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d Chapter 14 is set to air December 4 on Disney+.<\/em><\/p>\n
