Charli D\u2019Amelio has hit a major snag on her way to 100 million followers.<\/p>\n

The\u00a016-year-old TikTok sensation\u00a0\u2014 who boasts the highest follower count on the popular social media platform \u2014 appears to be the\u00a0latest celebrity\u00a0to get canceled. She\u2019s hemorrhaged 1 million followers after what some perceived as offensive remarks and an overall snotty attitude.<\/p>\n

The petty drama started when the D\u2019Amelio family\u00a0posted a video\u00a0to their YouTube channel Monday that went viral for depicting a cringeworthy dinner-table disagreement with her parents, Marc and Heidi, her sister, Dixie, fellow TikToker\u00a0James Charles\u00a0and\u00a0personal chef Aaron May.<\/p>\n

The controversial clip, the first in a series called \u201cDinner With the D\u2019Amelios,\u201d contains a scene where May is explaining the background of the dish he has served, which includes snails.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s classic paella, and it\u2019s actually an omen of good luck and fortune,\u201d he says to the D\u2019Amelio family, who reside in Norwalk, Connecticut.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiars,\u201d Charli scoffs, with arms huffily crossed.<\/p>\n

Dixie \u2014 who has 43.8 million followers of her own \u2014 taste tests the snail, then convulses, gags and runs outside to vomit in front of May. \u201cI threw up; that was not good,\u201d the 19-year-old says.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a very dramatic scene,\u201d mama Heidi replies.<\/p>\n

Charli then asks her personal chef \u2014 who has been\u00a0showcased\u00a0on the Food Network and inducted into the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame as a \u201cChef Extraordinaire\u201d \u2014 if she could dine on\u00a0\u201cdino nuggets\u201d\u00a0instead.<\/p>\n\n

Another groan-inducing scene features Charli whining that she hasn\u2019t hit 100 million quickly enough. She had 99.5 million followers as of Wednesday \u2014 and is now down to 98.5 million as of Thursday night. She had been gaining followers at a rate of hundreds of thousands per day for her hyper-viewed TikTok dances prior to this drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cUgh, I just wish I had more time because imagine if I hit 100 mil one year after hitting a mil,\u201d Charli says.<\/p>\n

\u201c95 million not enough for you?\u201d Charles \u2014\u00a0who has a TikTok following of 29 million\u00a0\u2014 asks sarcastically.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell I was just like saying like, even numbers,\u201d Charli responds with a shrug.<\/p>\n

Commenters have flooded all of the recent videos on the D\u2019Amelios\u2019 accounts, and multiple influencers and high-profile creators on the platform have responded\u00a0expressing criticism and disappointment\u00a0with Charli and Dixie\u2019s bratty behavior \u2014 and their parents\u2019 nonchalance about the situation.<\/p>\n

Charli has yet to respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment about the backlash, but Dixie and father Marc \u2014\u00a0who is a conservative politician\u00a0with a TikTok following of\u00a08.3 million\u00a0\u2014 have posted half-hearted explanation videos.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey guys, if you are coming here to comment hate like this, maybe hold on one second and know the full story,\u201d\u00a0Dixie says in a TikTok\u00a0she posted Thursday morning. \u201cI\u2019m so grateful for all of the opportunities I\u2019ve had, so I would never in any way want to be taken as disrespectful, especially from an out-of-context 15-second clip. So basically, my team knows I throw up a lot. I could throw up at the smell, the thought or the taste of anything. So, when they saw the snails, they were like, \u2018Oh, let\u2019s get her and try to see if we can get a reaction out of her.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Chef [May] and I would never disrespect him in any way and maybe don\u2019t judge someone\u2019s personality over a 15-second video.\u201d<\/p>\n
