Nearly six months before he\u00a0allegedly knocked Rick Moranis to the ground\u00a0outside the actor\u2019s Upper West Side apartment, Marquis Ventura was charged with an even more violent, unprovoked attack on a Bronx subway.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could see he was crazy,\u201d the victim in that attack, mom and restaurant manager Ashley Davis, told The Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was telling the police \u2014 This guy\u2019s not right. This guy\u2019s got a mental illness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis, 34, was on a downtown 5 with her husband, Glenn Smith, 34, when Ventura \u2014 who\u2019d been walking between train cars \u2014 allegedly jumped them, she said.<\/p>\n

Ventura is charged with misdemeanor assault in the April 13 attack, according to online court records.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis dude just randomly started beating the crap out of me and my husband,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe pulled a knife on my husband. He punched my face. I thought he broke my eye socket and jaw,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis guy was just kicking and hitting him,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was crazy. It happened so fast. This guy was just intent on assaulting us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

She added, \u201cI thought my husband was dying. His shoulder was so badly dislocated it was down to his belly,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Ventura is counter-claiming that they attacked him, because her husband had picked up the knife that she says Ventura dropped.<\/p>\n

Smith is charged with misdemeanor menacing with a weapon, court records show.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors have offered to drop charges on both sides, but, \u201cI was like no way,\u201d she said. \u201cI want them to throw the book at this guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis has needed psychiatric care after the attack, and can no longer bring herself to set foot in a subway, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel very, very bad for him,\u201d she said\u00a0of Moranis, adding that she\u2019s a big fan of \u201cHoney, I Shrunk The Kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNeither of us should have to go through what we did.\u201d<\/p>\n
