With the <\/span><\/span>women\u2019s march set for Washington, D.C., next week, now, more than ever, women are speaking up and advocating for themselves. It\u2019s no surprise that <\/span><\/span>Niecy Nash, a comedian, producer and actress, had a response loud and ready when a male TV critic at TCA asked her and her cast of TNT\u2019s \u201cClaws\u201d why they paint their nails.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cClaws\u201d is a dramedy set in a nail salon that follows the rise of five diverse manicurists working at Nail Artisan, a salon in Manatee County in South Florida. The TV critic (unwisely) asked Nash, \u201cBut why do nail art, if men don\u2019t like it?\u201d As you can imagine, Niecy Nash\u2019s clapback game was strong. \u201cWho cares what men think? We want to do what we want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

And with her answer, Nash reminded us all that women are fighting for, and reclaiming, their independence. Then the reaction started on Twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n
