The woman portrayed as a \u201csugar baby\u201d in \u201cBorat 2\u201d isn\u2019t actually a professional gold digger, she\u2019s just an actress who thought she was performing in a regular comedy.<\/p>\n

Macy Chanel appeared in\u00a0the new mockumentary\u00a0as an \u201cInstagram influencer\u201d who gives advice on acting sexy and landing a rich man to Borat\u2019s daughter, Tutar, who was played by actress Maria Bakalova.<\/p>\n

But Chanel told Page Six she really is pursuing a career as an actress and model and is no online \u201csugar baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI came to Los Angeles a few years ago with stars in my eyes,\u201d the 24-year-old told Page Six over email. \u201cI have worked hard in a sometimes cruel and ugly industry to build my resume and will continue to work hard so Sacha [Baron] Cohen will not determine how my acting career is defined.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chanel said she was never told exactly what film she would be appearing in, and was \u201cshocked\u201d when a reporter called and told her she was in \u201cBorat 2,\u201d which is now streaming on Amazon.<\/p>\n

She said she stumbled into the film when she received a \u201cwell-crafted email\u201d about a role for \u201coriginal programming\u201d where she was supposed to help a foreigner learn the ropes of dating in the United States.<\/p>\n

While filming, Chanel says she quickly understood it was \u201cmore of a comedy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMaria is an excellent actress, but at no point did I believe her character was authentic,\u201d she said of Bakalova, adding that she \u201cimprovised\u201d and \u201cplayed the part\u201d she was cast to play.<\/p>\n\n

In Chanel\u2019s scene, she gives advice to Tutar, who is going to be offered to Vice President Mike Pence as a gift from Borat, played by Cohen.<\/p>\n

The California woman said she got a laugh out of the scene, even the part where she acts shocked when Tutar opens a beer bottle with her privates.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter learning about being in \u2018Borat 2,\u2019 I knew instantly they were going to take the most absurd scenes that had been recorded and without a doubt the \u2018bottle incident.\u2019 So I was extremely curious to see what scenes they grabbed to get the viewership from the audience raving reviews.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Texas native says that during her time acting, she has learned the hard way that Hollywood isn\u2019t as glamorous as it seems.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to act for a few more years while I expand into other fields that are not filled with Hollywood types who make a living from exploiting people attempting to get in the industry,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s a cut throat industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

And despite being portrayed as a \u201csugar baby\u201d in Cohen\u2019s latest film, Chanel says she does not depend on anyone for money. She has been financially independent since her mom was tragically killed in an auto accident five years ago.<\/p>\n
