At one point, Gosling\u2019s character shares that he sweeps women off their feet \u2014 literally \u2014 by picking them up Swayze style. But the real-life Stone was far from charmed during filming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we do <em>Crazy, Stupid, Love<\/em>, I know that we\u2019re gonna do the <em>Dirty Dancing<\/em> lift. I don\u2019t know, however, that&nbsp;I have&nbsp;an internalized phobia of&nbsp;being lifted over someone\u2019s head at the height of about 6&nbsp;feet,\u201d she said, shortly after prefacing that her childhood gymnastics instructor dropping her and causing her to break both of her arms.<\/p>\n<p>After sharing, she asked Gosling for help describing her reaction to the lift.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never had this happen, but I imagine if a possum fell out of a tree and tried to scratch your eyes out, it would be something similar,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a lot,\u201d Stone said. \u201cAnd then it was a meltdown. I mean, I had a real meltdown\u2026I had to go lie down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her remedy?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou had to go and watch <em>Labyrinth.&nbsp;<\/em>We were in a house and she\u2019s like, \u2018I have to go watch <em>Labyrinth<\/em>.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A hysterical Stone ended her story (and laughing fit) by saying that a body double replaced her for their big scene.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_18_0_4_1484456202019_2050\">The actors \u2014 who also costarred in 2013\u2019s <em>Gangster Squad<\/em> \u2014 have started strong this award season. Stone took home the Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy and Gosling scored the best actor&nbsp;in a musical or comedy award earlier this month.
