Hunter Biden\u2019s ex-business associate Tony Bobulinski accused Democratic nominee Joe Biden of lying about his involvement in his\u00a0family\u2019s overseas dealings\u00a0in a stunning appearance just 90 minutes before Thursday evening\u2019s presidential debate.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have heard Joe Biden say he has never discussed his dealings with Hunter. That is false. I have firsthand knowledge about this because I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,\u201d Bobulinski said following The Post\u2019s bombshell reporting on Hunter Biden\u2019s private emails.<\/p>\n
Bobulinski, who will be a guest of President Trump at the debate, showed three phones spanning 2015 to 2018 as evidence and said he would be meeting with the Senate and the FBI to hand over electronics.<\/p>\n
The US Navy veteran said he was introduced to the former veep in May 2, 2017 by Hunter Biden and the lawmaker\u2019s brother Jim Biden before the Global Milken Conference in Beverly Hills, Calif.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat night, we discussed the Biden\u2019s history, the Biden family\u2019s plans with the Chinese, with which he was plainly familiar, at least at a high level,\u201d he said in Memphis, Tenn., ahead of the final debate between President Trump and Biden.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have no wish to bury anyone. I\u2019ve never been political. The few contributions I have made have been to Democrats. But what I am is a patriot, and a veteran, to protect my family name, and my business reputation. I need to ensure that the true facts are out there,\u201d he said, batting away accusations that he was part of a misinformation plot.<\/p>\n
Bobulinski\u00a0came forward earlier Thursday\u00a0to corroborate emails\u00a0revealed exclusively by The Post\u00a0last week about the Biden family\u2019s murky overseas dealings in China involving both Hunter Biden and uncle Jim Biden.<\/p>\n
The US Navy veteran accused former vice president Joe Biden of being directly involved in a plot to make millions of dollars, identifying to him as \u201cthe big guy\u201d named in the May 13, 2017 email.<\/p>\n\n
That email showed the four partners each getting 20 percent shares in the business, with 10 percent going to \u201cJim\u201d and the remaining 10 percent \u201cheld by H for the big guy?\u201d<\/p>\n
The US Navy veteran said he was approached in late 2015 by James Gilliar, a man he had known \u201cfor many years,\u201d about joining him in a deal with Chinese-state owned energy company CEFC and \u201cwhat he called one of the most prominent families in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n
The whistleblower said he was told the Biden family wanted to form a new entity with CEFC to invest in infrastructure, real estate, and technology in the US and around the world.<\/p>\n
Bobulinski also released hundreds of text messages and emails from his time as CEO of the company being formed between the Biden family and China\u2019s largest private energy company, named SinoHawk Holdings.<\/p>\n
In one message sent on May 20, 2017, Gilliar warned Bobulinski not to mention the Democratic nominee\u2019s involvement in the SinoHawk deal.<\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t mention Joe being involved, it\u2019s only when u [sic] are face to face, I know u [sic] know that but they are paranoid,\u201d a screenshot of the message from Gilliar read.<\/p>\n
Bobulinski said Gilliar and fellow partner Rob Walker of being \u201cparanoid about keeping Joe Biden\u2019s involvement secret.\u201d<\/p>\n
The famous family has been dogged for years by allegations of impropriety following Hunter Biden\u2019s lucrative role on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma while his father was vice president.<\/p>\n
A tranche of emails from a hard drive belonging to Hunter Biden \u2014 published exclusively by The Post last week \u2014 revealed how the scandal-scarred son tried to leverage his family connections to land lucrative deals overseas and boost his Burisma pay.<\/p>\n
Speaking before reporters at a Marriott hotel near the debate site Thursday evening, Bobulinski claimed he had a falling out with the Biden family when Hunter Biden wanted to pocket $5 million from an initial $10 million cash injection into SinoHawk, ponied up by CEFC.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said, referring to \u2018the chairman,\u2019 his father, that CEFC was really investing in the Biden family, that he held the Trump card and that he was the one putting his family legacy on the time,\u201d said Bobulinski, who declined to take questions afterwards.<\/p>\n

Instead, I found out from Senator Johnson\u2019s September report that the $5 million was sent in August 2017 to entities affiliated with Hunter,\u201d he said, referring to the Wisconsin senator\u2019s congressional probe into potential corruption in the Biden family.<\/p>\n Ending the press conference, the former Navy lieutenant said he would be meeting with Johnson\u2019s Senate Homeland Security Committee on Friday.<\/p>\n \u201cTomorrow I will be meeting with the Senate committee members concerning this matter and I will be providing the FBI the devices which contain the evidence corroborating what I have said, so I will not be taking any questions at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCan you tell us a little more about this evidence?\u201d a reporter asked.<\/p>\n \u201cThe evidence sits on these three phones, I don\u2019t want to go into anything any further. This will all be discussed with Senator Johnson and his committee and the American people can decide what\u2019s fact,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Biden and wife Jill Biden have both dismissed the reporting as a smear campaign while Hunter Biden has yet to respond.<\/p>\n In a statement, Biden spokesman Andrew Bates called the allegations a \u201cpathetic farce\u201d and flatly denied that the 77-year-old candidate had ever been involved in overseas business deals with his family.<\/p>\n \u201cAs Chris Wallace said on the air about this very smear, \u2018Vice President Biden has actually released his tax returns \u2014 unlike President Trump \u2014 and there is no indication he ever got any money from anybody in these business deals.\u2019\u201d said Bates.<\/p>\n \u201cJoe Biden has never even considered being involved in business with his family, nor in any overseas business whatsoever.
