Mother didn\u2019t know best this time.<\/p>\n

Emma Roberts revealed she had to block her own mother, Kelly Cunningham, on social media after she spilled the beans that Roberts and boyfriend Garrett Hedlund are\u00a0expecting a baby.<\/p>\n

During her Monday appearance on \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d, the 29-year-old actress explained that her mom \u2014 who only began using smart phones three years ago \u2014 found herself interacting with fans online and accidentally confirmed the news.<\/p>\n

When a fan asked point-blank if Roberts was pregnant, Cunningham replied, \u201cYes!!\u201d Another follower congratulated the family, Cunningham wrote, \u201cThank you so much! Very excited.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a disaster,\u201d Roberts told Kimmel. \u201cAnd I found it all out on a plane. So, I couldn\u2019t get to her. Like, I couldn\u2019t call her or attack her. I could just iMessage with her and DM her and ask her to please stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the frantic messages, Cunningham didn\u2019t see the big deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I said to her, \u2018Mom, you revealed my pregnancy,\u2019 she goes, \u2018Emma, you announced it,’\u201d Roberts said. \u201cI said, \u2018No, I didn\u2019t. That was a tabloid.\u2019 She\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, that wasn\u2019t clear.’\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that they \u201ckind of laughed\u201d about it, but later \u201ckind of got in a fight\u201d over the ordeal.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cI blocked her at one point. It was my only weapon,\u201d the \u201cAmerican Horror Story\u201d actress shared. \u201cShe texted me at 2:00 a.m., \u2018Queen, did you block me? Sad face.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Yes, I did block you.\u2019 Then I unblocked her. It\u2019s been an Instagram war with my mother that I never saw coming. A good story to tell the baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roberts confirmed the news herself in August, posting a\u00a0series of photos\u00a0on Instagram displaying her baby bump.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe\u2026and my two favorite guys\u00a0\u201d Roberts wrote, confirming that the baby is a boy.<\/p>\n
