New York\u2019s handling of the whole pandemic has been a giant clusterf\u2013k \u2014 so why not just go ahead and hold a proper one?<\/p>\n

Way back at the beginning of the outbreak, Page Six reported that notorious upscale sex club Snctm was planning to hold an orgy in the city regardless of the burgeoning viral catastrophe \u2014 then pulled out at the last minute.<\/p>\n

Now we\u2019re told they\u2019re back \u2014 with a bang, naturally.<\/p>\n

The group \u2014 which has reportedly hosted Gywneth Paltrow and Bill Maher at its feisty f\u00eates in the past \u2014 has been (probably not-all-that) quietly hosting small events for the past month, and it\u2019s planning another bacchanal for Halloween, we\u2019re told.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been keeping a low profile since their return, testing the waters of hosting safely in this new world,\u201d said an insider. \u201cThus far, they\u2019ve held two events since returning from hiatus, all with COVID rapid testing of every person who enters the premises.\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019re told that they\u2019re using temperature checks and Quidel\u2019s Sofia swab tests, which Snctm says have a \u201creported sensitivity greater than 97 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Invitations to the two events in September and the Halloween party \u2014 which is, appropriately, Black Death-themed \u2014 say the normal \u201carmed security will be augmented at the door by a board-certified physician and his team performing SARS-CoV-2 rapid testing.\u201d They also cut capacity to 30 guests.<\/p>\n

So far, they hosted an erotic dinner and a party featuring shibari, \u201cthe art of Japanese bondage ropework.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if people were still having sex at the parties in spite of the pandemic, a spokesperson told us, \u201cI would say thus far the behavior of our guests within the parties has indicated a great pent-up demand for our events, and an appreciation of the precautions we have undertaken.\u201d<\/p>\n
