Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie remained hospitalized with COVID-19 on Wednesday for the fourth straight day.<\/p>\n

The one-time presidential candidate has been at Morristown Medical Center since Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Insiders told The Post that Christie is holding up, and has been taking phone calls.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s in good spirits and getting good care,\u201d said a source familiar with his condition.<\/p>\n

Christie, 58, has asthma, a respiratory condition that makes him more vulnerable to coronavirus complications, and is playing it safe, the source said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe governor is doing fine. He\u2019s just being cautious,\u201d another insider said.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been talking and texting with people all day. It\u2019s Chris Christie!\u201d<\/p>\n

The two-term former governor told the Star-Ledger on Monday he had\u00a0received well wishes\u00a0from Jordanian King Abdullah II.<\/p>\n

He spent much of last week playing Joe Biden in the president\u2019s debate prep, and also attended the Sept. 26 event at which Trump introduced Amy Coney Barrett as his nominee to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.<\/p>\n

Attendees at both events\u00a0later tested positive\u00a0for the potentially deadly virus.<\/p>\n
