When it comes to applying make-up we\u2019ll take any tips and tricks we can get.<\/p>\n

While we\u2019re all go for the feeling of euphoria it gives you when you look your best, if there\u2019s any way of having more time to socialize and less time in the make-up chair then we\u2019re all for it.<\/p>\n

And while applying mascara may not be the most time-consuming task for some people, for us fair-haired ladies it\u2019s a mammoth task that can take layers and layers of application.<\/p>\n

So when we heard that there is actually a mascara trick we\u2019ve been missing this whole time, we were gobsmacked.<\/p>\n

The whole thing was revealed on a Reddit thread, where one user why she likes her Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara in the mini version.<\/p>\n

\u201cCould someone please tell me why I LOVE the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara when it comes in a DS tube, but the full size seems like a totally different product?, \u201c the woman asked on the thread called: \u201cI feel stupid for asking this\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems drier than the DS and doesn’t seem to separate my lashes the same. I’ve used about 6 of the DS tubes and finally gave in and bought a full size during sales, and I’m having all kinds of regrets,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs it a different formula for the smaller size, or am I just imagining things?\u201d<\/p>\n

People were quick to reply with their own take on the mini-size beauty items, which many believe are better than the full-size versions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s a wacky urban legend that samples and testers are actually better and more longlasting than the full size,\u201d one person said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis supposedly is especially true for fragrances and such.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes sense in the way that the company wins anyway – either you buy the full size or keep buying samples or smaller sizes which are generally more expensive per ounce.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others said that they\u2019ve noticed sample sizes can turn out to be a lot different than the larger product once they purchase it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told a makeup person friend I got a sample size of BTS to try, and she said \u2018whatever you do, don’t get the full size, it’s different than the sample.\u2019 I don’t know why, but you are definitely not the only one to notice,\u201d one person said.<\/p>\n

Another person said that the bigger mascaras distribute too much product on to the lashes and the product is to bulky.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m convinced that I just don\u2019t like full sized mascaras,\u201d the woman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s too much product that comes out on the wand so you either wipe some off (wasting expensive product) or deal with messy lashes until there’s a more reasonable amount in the tube but shortly after it’s dried up\/gone.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso the wands are just bigger and bulkier which magnifies the problem with the amount of product.\u201d<\/p>\n

We tend to agree that sample size products are not only simple to carry around and give you an understanding of what you\u2019re buying into but they also appear to give us longer lashes with even amounts of coverage.<\/p>\n\n
