Princess Beatrice\u2019s wedding dress already made history \u2014 and now it\u2019ll be on full display.<\/p>\n

The young royal, 32, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on their wedding day on July 17 wearing\u00a0an original gown her grandmother Queen Elizabeth\u00a0originally wore in 1961. Now, as is tradition in the royal family, the Sir Norman Hartnell design will be put on display at Windsor Castle for visitors to see up-close.<\/p>\n

The ivory taffeta gown features a satin trim on the skirt and geometric hand-embroidery and crystals on the bodice. The original design was altered for Princess Beatrice to include the addition of shoulder straps, sheer sleeves and additional embroidery at the waist \u2014 as well as a slimmer, more contemporary silhouette \u2014\u00a0 under the direction of Angela Kelly, the queen\u2019s personal dresser and wardrobe curator, and designer Stewart Parvin.<\/p>\n

The royal wedding was held in private with strict social distancing measures after the couple cancelled their May nuptials amid the coronavirus pandemic. The ceremony took was held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge with a small number of close family in attendance, including the Queen.<\/p>\n\n

Beatrice truly took \u201csomething borrowed\u201d to the extremes for her big day; she topped off her bridal look with the tiara worn by the Queen on her own wedding day in 1947.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alongside the dress, Beatrice\u2019s custom Valentino wedding day shoes will also go on display and, keeping with her theme of sustainable fashion, have been a go-to pair in her wardrobe already, having worn them several times, including to Prince William and Kate Middleton\u2019s 2011 wedding.<\/p>\n

A replica of the\u00a0bride\u2019s bouquet\u00a0\u2014 containing jasmine, sweet peas, pink O\u2019Hara roses, myrtle and more \u2014 will also be put on display\u00a0at Windsor Castle from September 23 until November 22, 2020.<\/p>\n
