Raymond added. &#8220;When my weight goes up a little bit, I moderate my diet. I&#8217;ve been there two other times and I&#8217;m not going back. Whatever the number is, I&#8217;m not upset by it and I don&#8217;t fixate on it. She also kept the weight off for four years and can now squat 355 pounds.<\/p>\n<div class=\"remaining-body&#10;                        &#10;                        &#10;                            &#10;                            &#10;                        &#10;                        \" style='color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-transform: none; line-height: 1.5; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: 0.3px; font-family: \"Helvetica Neue\", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15.5px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;'>\n<p>Halimi said her poor eating habits began when she was growing up in war-torn Kosovo, where she didn&#8217;t know when she would be able to get her next meal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were refugees,&#8221; Halimi said. &#8220;We boiled leaves, and we ate that just to survive.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After we all got back home,&#8221; Halimi added, &#8220;I had this mentality of, &#8216;Let me eat now &#8217;cause I don&#8217;t know when I&#8217;m going to eat later.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Halimi said she reached her heaviest weight of 250 pounds in her late teens, following years of overeating. She says she hit rock-bottom after she won an<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>Albanian<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>singing competition in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every magazine I was opening, every page I was turning to, there was something about &#8230; my weight,&#8221; Halimi said, &#8220;and all the criticism started to affect me.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I knew I had to make a change,&#8221; she continued.
