Actor Logan Williams, who played a young Barry Allen in the CW\u2019s \u201cThe Flash,\u201d died suddenly Thursday at age 16.<\/p>\n
No cause of death was given.<\/p>\n
The show\u2019s star, Grant Gustin, expressed his anguish<\/a> on Instagram Friday, posting a photo with Williams and actor Jesse L. Martin taken during the filming of the series pilot in 2014.<\/p>\n \u201cJust hearing the devastating news that Logan Williams has passed away suddenly,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI was so impressed by not only Logan\u2019s talent but his professionalism on set. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is I\u2019m sure an unimaginably difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for us all. Logan was an exceptional talent, with a kind heart, and an infectious spirit,\u201d she said. \u201cWe will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n John Wesley Shipp \u2014 who played Barry Allen in CBS\u2019 1990 to 1991 version of \u201cThe Flash\u201d and the character\u2019s father, Henry, in the newer CW drama \u2014 said he was \u201cheartsick\u201d<\/a> in his own condolences via Twitter.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was 100% committed to playing young Barry Allen, and we missed him once we moved past that part of the story,\u201d Shipp wrote. \u201cLove and compassion to Logan\u2019s family and friends in your grief.\u201d<\/p>\n\r\n \t
