And of course, made her incomparable aesthetic easier than ever to copy in this decade with her eponymous fashion line and <\/span>makeup collaboration with Est\u00e9e Lauder. But turns out she has some (scratch that, <\/span>many<\/em>!) style regrets and just got very candid about about her most infamous fashion phases. She penned a letter to her 18-year-old self for <\/span>British <\/span>Vogue<\/em> in an effort to impart fashion advice and beauty wisdom before kicking off her highly-publicized adult life in the spotlight. In the letter she talks about marriage, plastic surgery, hairspray (and yes, <\/span>her switch to sneakers!) and doesn\u2019t leave any detail out. We picked out her her best fashion and beauty rules, below, so you can make 2017 your most Posh-inspired yet.<\/p>\n

Own your plastic surgery <\/strong>procedures<\/b>
\nShe\u2019s visibly gone up (and down) in cup sizes over the years, and ended up really regretting it. \u201cI should probably say, don\u2019t mess with your boobs,\u201d <\/span>she writes to herself. \u201cAll those years I denied it \u2014 stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you\u2019ve got.\u201d<\/p>\n

Never let your hubby see you looking disheveled<\/strong>
\nVictoria and her hot husband David Beckham have been <\/span>married for 17 years, and she credits at least part of that longevity to effort. \u201cIn marriage: have patience. Bite your tongue. Be supportive. And preserve a bit of mystique,\u201d she says. \u201cNever let yourself go completely (at least brush your hair, clean your teeth, have a bit of a brow going on because you will always want him to look at you and feel attracted).\u201d<\/p>\n

A little hairspray goes a long way<\/strong>
\nShe tells her teenage self to let \u201cher skin breathe\u201d by wearing less makeup and warns her to never, <\/span>ever<\/em> <\/span>let a makeup artist shave her eyebrows. But there\u2019s one beauty addiction she\u2019ll never overcome. \u201cYou will always be addicted to Elnett hairspray but you will tone it down. Less of the \u2018Hello! I just got stuck in a wind tunnel\u2019, please.\u201d<\/p>\n

Never regret your drag queen style phase<\/strong>
\n\u201cYou are going to have so much fun with your clothes \u2014 PVC catsuits; chokers that say absurd things; weird spiky blonde hair. It will never occur to you that you appear ridiculous,\u201d she tells herself. \u201cYou will turn up at awards ceremonies resembling a drag queen. But I look back at you and smile. It will add interest to your life to go from one extreme to another. I love the fact that you will feel free to express yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Always wear sunglasses <\/strong>
\nShe accepts the fact that the day will come she has to \u201cswap heels for Stan Smith trainers\u201d and \u201cminidresses for crisp white shirts\u201d but there\u2019s one thing she should never go without. \u201c\u2026 You will never be one of those people who just roll out of bed. Wear sunglasses a lot. Even inside. Especially at airports. They turn a nothing-outfit into something quite pulled together and cool. You are going to really like Aviators. (Then one day you will develop your own!)\u201d<\/p>\n

\nWhen in doubt, go with sneakers (and never get too chummy with competitive moms)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\u201cA word on school sports day: never wear platform heels and flares if you have to take part in the mothers\u2019 race. And never believe another mum when she says she will stick with you at the back of the race. Because she won\u2019t. And when they announce, \u2018It\u2019s the taking part that counts,\u2019 it\u2019s not. It\u2019s all about winning.\u201d<\/p>\n
