A social media influencer is fighting\u00a0the Australia bushfires\u00a0\u2014 with nudes.<\/p>\n
Kayla Ward \u2014 also known as \u201cThe Naked Philanthropist\u201d \u2014 said Sunday that she\u2019d raised an estimated $500,000 in just two days by offering naked photos in exchange for donations to wildfire relief funds.<\/p>\n
The 20-year-old Los Angeles model on Jan. 3\u00a0tweeted\u00a0that anyone who sent her proof that they\u2019d chipped in to a list of Australian charities would get a body-baring pic in their inbox.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was expecting to raise maybe $1,000 but the tweet blew up,\u201d\u00a0she told BuzzFeed News on Sunday.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s now hired four staffers to help her sift through the thousands of direct messages, verify donations and respond with a steamy photo.<\/p>\n

Ward, who already sells naked images of herself online, figured she may as well do the same for the cause after seeing recent coverage of the devastating blazes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was seeing all the posts on Twitter about the Australian fires and I was really concerned there wasn\u2019t a lot of media coverage and not a lot of people donating,\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n
Last summer, her family had to flee one of the fires that tore through California.<\/p>\n
\u201cI got to see firsthand how many people were affected,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Ward was running the campaign on Twitter, and word also spread to her 50,000 Instagram followers.<\/p>\n
But on Saturday, Ward says Instagram deactivated her account, claiming she\u2019d violated their guidelines about sexual content.<\/p>\n
The social media platform said Ward had posted \u201csexually suggestive content,\u201d according to a screenshot she tweeted. She denies she broke any rules.<\/p>\n\n
Still, Ward vowed to keep the effort going.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy IG got deactivated, my family disowned me, and the guy I like won\u2019t talk to me all because of that tweet. But f\u2013k it, save the koalas,\u201d\u00a0she tweeted Sunday.<\/p>\n\n
